Belted Galloway Cattle Cow and Calf photographic print taken near Malham Yorkshire Dales

Natives of the West coast of Scotland, the Belted Galloway is a tough and
hardy breed, characterised by it’s rough curly coat and the white band around
the middle, thought to have originated through crossbreeding with a Dutch breed in
the early 1900s. These young cattle in the Dales seem well adapted to their
windswept moorland location!
