Product Description

Camargue Sunrise Wild Horse Photographic Series - Morning Light. White horses in the sea photographed in the Camargue, South of France, at sunrise.

The Carmargue may be one of the world’s oldest wild horses. Although now managed
and owned by local breeders, they have roamed here since prehistoric times and must still
be foaled and bred on the marshes of the Rhone Delta in order to enter the stud book.
Horses abandoned by invading armies are also thought to have influenced the breed which
may account for the occasional variation from the usual white colouring. Foals are
born black, brown or chestnut and turn white by about four years of age.

This print is part of a series of images from my Horse Stories Wild Horse Project-Read about the project here.

The print is available in three sizes and two different frames. For a bit more information about how our mounted prints are made and your framing options just click here.
