Product Description

Fell Ponies in the Snow photographed in Cumbria in January 2015

Fell ponies are native to the North of England and have ranged across Cumbria
since pre-historic times. It’s rare to find free roaming Fell ponies but many can still
be found in rough pastures on Cumbrian farms. I was lucky enough to encounter
this little group after a fresh snowfall. They seemed quite happy in the cold conditions
and were very curious about being photographed!
The ponies belong to Banksgate Fell Pony stud www.banksgatefellponies.co.uk
and permission to photograph them was greatly appreciated.
