Appleby Horse Fair is a traditional Gypsy Fair in Cumbria. This 5x7" greetings card shows horses being washed in the River Eden.

Each card has the story about the image on the back and comes with a recycled Kraft envelope. As part of our commitment to reducing plastic waste, we send these out without cello bags.

Every year in June hundreds of travellers gather in the town of Appleby, washing their coloured cobs in the River Eden and performing spectacular feats of horsemanship in the village streets. Love or hate it, Appleby has been a way of life for hundreds of years.
