Willow Workshops

Interested in trying your hand at willow weaving? Come and have a go at creating decorative and functional pieces for your garden, or making an animal sculpture. Workshops are held in venues throughout East Anglia and Yorkshire. Please see each workshop description for specific information. Every workshop includes a break for good coffee and nice cake, and a chance to chat through ideas for your next project with Toni and the rest of the group.

Willow artist Toni Cross has recently returned to sculpture after a break to concentrate on her photography, but has been working with dry and living willow for many years and has run numerous workshops for adults and children. The workshops have small groups for personal attention working in a friendly atmosphere. There is no age limit but children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent.

Willow is a lovely medium to work with and most people find weaving relaxing and therapeutic. However, it can be quite hard on the fingers. We can find ways to alleviate this for most people, but if you have arthritis or other mobility issues you might want to discuss this with Toni first to see what help we can offer.

We use a variety of different locations including village halls and some lovely rural locations too. After booking you will be sent a confirmation email with full joining information and directions.
