Interested in trying your hand at willow weaving? Come and have a go at creating decorative and functional pieces for your garden, or making an animal sculpture. Workshops are held in our new workshop in Brandon, in Suffolk and every workshop includes a break for good coffee (Tim Hortons!) and nice cake, and a chance to chat through ideas for your next project with Toni and the rest of the group.
Willow artist Toni Cross has recently returned to sculpture after a break to concentrate on her photography, but has been working with dry and living willow for many years and has run numerous workshops for adults and children. The workshops have small groups for personal attention working in a friendly atmosphere. There is no age limit but children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent.
Willow is a lovely medium to work with and most people find weaving relaxing and therapeutic. However, it can be quite hard on the fingers. We can find ways to alleviate this for most people, but if you have arthritis or other mobility issues you might want to discuss this with Toni first to see what help we can offer.
Our new workshop is in Brandon in Suffolk, in the heart of Thetford Forest. After booking you will be sent a confirmation email with full joining information and directions.
We also now offer gift vouchers for workshops. Simply choose a value for your most popular workshops and the recipient can book a suitable workshop for themselves. willow-workshop-gift-voucher-2512-p.asp
